About Chaos and his minions

SHAKTI Warriors uses many analogical and metaphorical references to stimulate within students an intrinsic belief in their own ability to enact positive change in their own lives. Our ‘bad guy’, called ‘Chaos’ and his ‘minions’, are used to represent the negative forces that pervade our society and influence our children. These negative forces could be analogies for characteristics such as: Laziness, bad attitude, indifference, selfishness, anger, low self-esteem, violence, bullying, obesity, lying, etc. Through our curriculum, children are taught to first recognize when the ‘minions’ are present and then they learn various coping strategies coping strategies for dealing with these negative forces. Ultimately, Shakti and her Warriors leave it up to the children to determine when the ‘minions’ are present and which ‘minions’ are hovering. Children are taught that they can overcome ‘Chaos’ by awakening both the Super-‘HERO’ and Super-‘HUMAN’ powers that already dwell within each of them!
